Mane are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to manage, develop, and delegate work effectively while supporting project teams in their progress and advancements. The successful candidate will collaborate with an established commercial project management team and work closely with our in-house M&E design team, utilizing the latest Revit, AutoCAD, and MEP 3D design software.

About the Role


The projects are primarily located across Northern Ireland (NI) and the Republic of Ireland (ROI) within the commercial sector. These projects involve general mechanical and electrical installations, as well as various construction activities. While experience in the MEP sector is advantageous, it is not essential.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead and develop project delivery teams to ensure timely and successful project completion.

  • Maintain regular communication with clients through online, face-to-face meetings, and on-site discussions to ensure satisfaction with project progress and upcoming works.

  • Ensure managers and site teams operate efficiently, setting high-level objectives and target completion dates.

  • Confirm project value, drawings, specifications, and orders are in place before work commences.

  • Collaborate with project delivery teams to develop structured templates for the construction team, such as material and dependency trackers, project programs, and lessons learned.

  • Ensure proper procurement of plant and equipment in line with specifications and client requirements.

  • Forecast project expenditure at the outset and communicate projections to Operations Managers and the Commercial team.

  • Monitor and track material and labor costs throughout the project to ensure adherence to target budgets.

  • Assess labor and subcontractor requirements for installation work and team expansion.

  • Vet subcontractors to ensure compliance with company standards and proper contractual engagement (via fixed-price purchase orders or JCT contracts) with support from the commercial team.

  • Assist the Commercial team in preparing and evaluating monthly applications (Client & Subcontractor).

  • Conduct weekly internal project meetings to ensure all critical path elements are addressed.

  • Provide accurate contract variation information and monthly claims to the Commercial team for valuation purposes.

  • Participate in monthly meetings with the Operations Manager to review team performance, project budgets, and development opportunities.

  • Attend wider company project management meetings to discuss performance and procedural updates, filtering key information to the team.

  • Oversee the preparation of O&M manuals upon project completion.

  • Ensure all as-built drawings and associated certifications are properly documented.

  • Work collaboratively with clients to ensure site teams maintain high standards of safety and quality.

  • Track and report project performance weekly to clients.

  • Assist the Operations Manager in forecasting additional resource needs aligned with company projections.

Travel Requirements


This role is primarily office-based (Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM-3:00 PM) with frequent site visits required for meetings, progress assessments, subcontractor coordination, plant operation checks, and final commissioning. Typically, site visits will be required one to two days per week, depending on project needs.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Prior experience in a similar management role.

  • Strong sense of ownership and eagerness to grow within the company.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills for internal and external interactions.

  • Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy.

  • Proven experience managing projects valued between £3M - £10M.
