Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) work packages on large-scale hyperscale data centre projects.
  • Prepare, submit, and negotiate interim valuations, final accounts, and variations in line with contract terms.
  • Track project costs, value engineering opportunities, and manage cost reporting for both internal stakeholders and client updates.
  • Administer subcontractor and supplier accounts, including measurement, payment certification, and change control.
  • Ensure accurate take-offs and BoQs are in place and aligned with site progress and design development.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and site teams to capture scope changes and manage associated commercial impacts.
  • Support the procurement of materials and subcontract packages, including drafting scopes of work and tender comparisons.
  • Monitor contract compliance and flag risks or opportunities from a commercial perspective.
  • Work with the finance team to forecast project cash flow, manage budgets, and report on project profitability.
  • Assist in resolving disputes and claims in conjunction with the commercial lead or company directors.


Qualification:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally with a civils subcontractor on high-value, fast-track projects.
  • Strong knowledge of CSA works, construction contracts (e.g., NEC, FIDIC), and supply chain procurement.
  • Experience managing costs and commercial documentation on large-scale projects, preferably in the data centre, pharma, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Willingness to travel to or work from European project locations as needed.
