Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of mechanical systems on a major mission-critical project in Sweden, overseeing design coordination, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
  • Manage mechanical subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring packages are delivered in line with contractual scope, programme milestones, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with internal design, engineering, BIM, and commercial teams to ensure technical compliance and cost efficiency across all mechanical systems.
  • Chair regular progress and coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and site teams, providing detailed reporting on progress, risks, and variations.
  • Drive project delivery strategy, ensuring mechanical activities are sequenced effectively and integrated with electrical and CSA packages.
  • Oversee technical submissions, material approvals, and procurement scheduling in coordination with supply chain and logistics teams.
  • Ensure compliance with local Swedish regulations, health & safety standards, and project-specific quality assurance requirements.
  • Report directly to the Project Director or Senior Project Manager, with accountability for the mechanical programme, budget, and overall performance.


Qualification

  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services; alternatively, strong trade background with demonstrable project leadership experience.
  • 10+ years' experience managing mechanical delivery on large-scale industrial, commercial, or mission-critical projects.
  • Strong technical expertise across HVAC, chilled water, heating, and process pipework systems.
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and leadership skills; comfortable managing both site and office-based teams.
  • Commercially minded, P&L responsible
