Responsibilities

  • Manage Electrical & Mechanical Systems packages, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.
  • Oversee site safety in collaboration with the Project Manager and Safety Advisor, including the setup, management, and closeout of the safety file.
  • Drive a strong culture of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) excellence within the team.
  • Manage site QA processes, including setup, tracking, and closeout of quality documentation.
  • Oversee project scheduling in line with client requirements, consulting engineers, and project management directives.
  • Handle all cost management aspects related to the assigned packages, including:
    • Electrical and Mechanical teams
    • Sub-contractors
    • Material deliveries and goods receipting
    • Plant and equipment usage
    • Variations and valuations
  • Manage day-to-day site operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Supervise subcontractor activities, tracking progress against schedules and staffing levels, and conducting weekly minuted meetings.
  • Implement a structured snagging system, ensuring supervisors provide weekly punch lists and distribute snags to subcontractors.
  • Track and report direct labour and subcontractor hours to the time administrator for centralised monitoring.
  • Attend key project meetings, including site meetings, internal project reviews, engineering reviews, coordination meetings, and handover discussions.
  • Ensure timely project closeout, including final accounts, O&M manuals, punch lists, safety files, QA documentation, material/plant relocations, and adherence to the project plan.
  • Prepare and issue weekly cost reports, detailing orders placed, expected material deliveries, and labour levels.
  • Compile internal progress reports summarising project supervisor updates, work breakdown structure (WBS) completion percentages, and any risks or delays.
  • Provide external progress reports to the project manager, highlighting availability of work areas, delays, design shortages, third-party dependencies, and project completion status.
  • Coordinate material deliveries to align with the project schedule, tracking all incoming materials.
  • Maintain a detailed weekly photographic diary of project progress.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the client team, ensuring smooth collaboration.
  • Review designs in coordination with internal and client teams to ensure feasibility and alignment with project requirements.
  • Oversee coordination between various M&E work scopes, ensuring integration with overall site activities.
  • Perform all other duties as required for the successful completion of the project.


Qualification

  • A trade and/or relevant third level qualification
  • Minimum 5 years previous experience in Project Management
  • Proven record of coordinating and managing large installation projects
