We are seeking a highly skilled Offshore Substations (OSS) Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team for an exciting offshore wind project in the Netherlands. This role requires a strong electrical engineering background, with expertise in OSS design, fabrication, and construction.
The successful candidate will play a key role in all electrical tasks related to OSS, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations. The position will be based in the Netherlands, with a primary location at the fabrication site from August 2026 to November 2027. During this period, the role will require travel for one week per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all electrical engineering activities related to offshore substations (OSS).
  • Ensure the design, fabrication, and integration of electrical components align with project requirements.
  • Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and quality checks during the fabrication process.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, mechanical, and commissioning engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and grid connection requirements.
  • Provide support in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues during fabrication and installation.
  • Work closely with fabricators, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Travel for one week per month from August 2026 to November 2027 to oversee and support project execution.

Key Requirements:

  • More than 5 years of experience in offshore wind projects, with a strong focus on Offshore Substations (OSS).
  • Electrical Engineering background, with expertise in HV/LV electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, and power transmission.
  • Hands-on experience in fabrication, assembly, and commissioning of electrical systems for OSS.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore construction processes, grid connections, and industry regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to project challenges.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch or other European languages are an advantage.
