Purpose

· To provide support to the paint team to deliver accurate and quality products per production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of metal and composite parts
  • Accurate masking of parts
  • Read and follow technical drawings
  • Wet spray solid, metallic and clear paints
  • Provide production updates to Team Leader as needed

· Other duties as assigned

· Parts per day completed

· Reject rates

· Efficiency

Knowledge, Education, and Skills

Knowledge:

· Understand technical drawings

· Confident in the use of vibrating hand tools & air powered spray guns

· Knowledge of measuring equipment

Education

· General education

Skills and competencies

· Attention to detail

· Proficiency working with vibrating hand tools and air powered spray guns

· Ability to measure and mix paint and fillers accurately

· Good communication skills, both spoken and written

· Self-motivated and can work as part of a team or individually, as required

· Good listening skills

· Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure

Professional Experience

Essential

· At least 5 years previous spray paint experience.

· Use of 2k Paints.

Desirable

· Aerospace or Motor trade experience.

· Use of 2k Water based paints.
