Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team on the Day Shift at our Dunstable facility. In this role, you will be responsible for manufacturing and welding a variety of assemblies to high-quality Aerospace standards. You will work from engineering drawings and route cards to deliver precision components and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.

Contract: Permanent - 37 hours per week

Rotation: Monday to Thursday (Day Shift)

Schedule: 6am to 3:45pm or 7am to 4:45pm

Core Responsibilities

Production & Quality

  • Manufacture welded assemblies to engineering drawings and route card requirements

  • Maintain Operator Verification Approval stamps

  • Work efficiently to achieve agreed production and quality standards

Continuous Improvement & Housekeeping

  • Contribute ideas for process improvements and cost reductions

  • Support the introduction of new techniques and methods of working

  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment in accordance with company standards

Compliance & Safety

  • Follow all company procedures and specifications

  • Be conversant with relevant AWPS and operating procedures

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Fire policies and attend required training

Teamwork

  • Foster a positive and flexible team working attitude

  • Support colleagues to meet production targets

Role Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

  • Ability to read and work to weld data cards and specifications

  • Strong understanding of quality standards and ability to achieve targets

  • Proven ability to follow verbal and written instructions

  • Proven team player with effective communication skills

  • Experience operating welding chambers (Glove Box)

  • Experience operating turntables controlled by foot pedals

  • Competence with precision measuring equipment

  • Experience welding Titanium, Inconel, and Stainless Steel

Desirable

  • Previous experience working in the aerospace industry

  • Operator verification experience
