MANE are currently recruiting for a Production Worker for our Aerospace client based in Bedfordshire.

Job Overview

The role involves manufacturing and welding various assemblies utilizing recognized trade skills under the guidance of a Team Leader. The objective is to produce high-quality components in accordance with drawings and routing requirements, ensuring they meet Aerospace industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assembly and Welding: Perform assembly and welding tasks using resistance/seam welding machines to meet customer specifications, working with various metals such as stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel.
  • Automated TIG Welding: Operate automated TIG welding machines, ensuring the welds meet customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Bellows Forming and Trimming: Utilize fully automated, semi-automated, and manual bellows forming machines to shape and trim bellows as required.
  • Weld Testing: Collaborate with the laboratory to ensure weld tests meet necessary standards.
  • Compliance: Adhere to drawing and route card specifications, maintaining compliance with all relevant work instructions and operating procedures.
  • Operator Verification: Obtain and maintain Operator Verification approval stamps as required.
  • Efficiency and Quality: Work efficiently within established standards, consistently producing quality work.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assist in the implementation of new techniques and methods to improve production efficiency and quality, as well as reduce costs.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Health and Safety: Be familiar with and adhere to the company's Health and Safety and Fire policies, attending mandatory training as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Demonstrate a flexible attitude and contribute effectively to team goals.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Engineering Drawings: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Weld Data Cards: Proficiency in reading and working to weld data card specifications.
  • Lathe Operation: Experience operating a lathe.
  • Measuring Equipment: Competency in using various measuring tools and equipment.
  • Aerospace Industry: Previous experience working within the aerospace industry.
  • Operator Verification: Experience with Operator Verification processes.

Shift Pattern

  • Day Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am to 3:45 pm or 7:00 am to 4:45 pm.
  • Late Shift Rotation: Potential inclusion in a Late Shift rotation from Monday to Thursday.
