Mane are proud to have once again been awarded compliant status by the MCA (Maritime & Coastguard Agency) in line with the Marine Labour Convention 2006.
This was the first time the UK Head Office had been audited since moving our marine operations back from The Netherlands, and the audit recorded zero non-conformances and Mane passed with flying colours.
This means that Mane Contract Services, specifically the Energy Team, can continue supplying marine and crew personnel to our clients across the world for another 5 years.
Why is achieving MLC Compliance important to us?
The MLC brings together, in one place the international minimum standards that ensure decent work for our candidates across the world.
Under the MLC, 2006 every seafarer has the right to:
- a safe and secure workplace that complies with safety standards
- fair terms of employment
- decent working and living conditions on board ship
- health protection, medical care, welfare measures and other forms of social protection
Here at Mane, we take pride in being able to offer our candidates the best working conditions available and will continue to do so for at least the next five years, with the hope of being able to do it for many more.
