Mane is now operating in Prague with a new office that enables us to continue to support businesses in the Czech Republic. For years, we have been working with companies in the Czech Republic helping supply contract personnel to a number of key disciplines across the aerospace and automotive marketplaces.
If you’re an engineer looking for new experiences, to further enhance your skills, or enjoy travelling, you might be interested in a role with us in the Czech Republic - it's a great place to work, here’s why:
1. Easy to get to. Václav Havel Airport Prague is only a short hour and a half flight from London Airports with flights to the country usually going quite cheap. If you're working in the Czech Republic during the week, it's only a short and relatively cheap flight back home to visit family or friends during the weekend.
2. Fascinating historic sites. The Czech Republic is home to many historical landmarks and beautiful Gothic architecture, such as Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and the famous Astronomical Clock.
3. Great transport links. Prague has invested a great deal in its public transport. There are three easy to use metro lines, which cover the whole city. There are also reliable trams and buses to get you anywhere you'd like.
4. Food and Drink. The Czech Republic is famous for its breweries and traditional food. The most popular beers are Pilsner Urquell and Budweiser Budvar. If you want a meal that reflects the Czech’ culture be sure to order a chicken/pork schnitzel with potato salad, or anything with dumplings!
5. Lower cost of living. The Czech Republic has been part of the EU since 2004, however, it hasn’t adopted the Euro and remains using its own currency, Koruna. The cost of living in the Czech Republic is lower in comparison to the UK, therefore life is generally more affordable.
6. Vibrant culture. If you’re lucky enough to live in Prague or even visit on holiday, you have plenty of top attractions to visit as chosen by one of our Czech employees:
- Prague Zoo
- Prague Castle
- Anděl shopping centres
- Charles Bridge
- Davis Černý’s Meetfactory
- Lentá beer garden
7. Nightlife. It’s no secret that the Czech Republic is a prime place for Hen and Stag do’s and for good reason. With lower than normal prices for alcohol and an abundance of bars and clubs, a night out in Prague is always great fun.
8. Rise in Engineering. The driving force of the Czech Republic’s economy historically has been manufacturing, however, engineering has increased significantly over the last few decades making the country at the centre of the industrial sector. There are numerous automotive and aerospace companies in the Czech Republic that are always looking for new contract and permanent staff.
Excited about the prospect of living in a new country while developing your engineering skills? We have opportunities across the country that offer long-term contract work with flights and accommodation provided in some cases.
